Alright, on zeegotlegs.co.za, I’m not all about the fuss, but there’s a thing or two you should know about cookies when you’re visiting my site.

Imagine cookies as tiny text notes my website jots down on your device when you swing by. They help the site remember your bits and bobs like language, theme, and such, so you ain’t got to bother with it every time you drop in. Handy, innit?

How am I using them?

Now, I’m keeping it simple, just how I like it. Currently there are no cookies stored on zeegotlegs.co.za.

I don’t use cookies for selling ads or following you around the internet. I respect your privacy. For more on that check out the Privacy Policy.

Local Storage

I use local storage to store your theme preference and some icon information. This is stored on your device and not sent to any server. I also use it to store posts as a cache mechanism to speed up the loading of the site and the search functionality. Local storage is not shared with any third party. Local storage is also not sent via HTTP requests like cookies are.

Session Storage

I don’t store anything here purposely. If you see anything stored here, it’s stored here by a package I am using in my Front-End Framework (SvelteKit) or by SvelteKit itself. I don’t use it for any tracking or analytics.

Your choices about cookies

You’re the boss of your cookies. You can tell your browser to accept my cookie, or tell me to do one (if the need should ever arise for me to use cookies).
